Postman desktop auto-installed plugins into Claude Code and Codex
A GitHub issue with 1,000+ HN points documents Postman's desktop app silently installing its plugin, a session-start hook and an MCP server into Claude Code and Codex, and its installer trying to mark its own hook as trusted. Postman says it will make the opt-in clearer; it's a warning about how easily other apps can rewrite your coding agent's setup.
