WhatsApp’s help pages hid AI instructions not to recommend regulators
Redact found 102 hidden blocks on 80 WhatsApp help pages, including orders telling its support chatbot not to point users to data protection authorities or cite GDPR once a lawyer came up. WhatsApp told WIRED it was a bug and removed the text, a sharp example of how hidden prompts can steer what an AI tells you.
