DeepSeek launches Search and Fetch APIs at $0.75 per 1,000 requests
DeepSeek now sells web search (on its own in-house engine) and page-to-Markdown fetch as raw APIs for agents and RAG apps. Calls from DeepSeek Harness, Claude Code or Codex are free until billing starts on 1 November 2026, which gives agent builders a cheap alternative to other search APIs.
